Florence University of the Arts

I spent Spring 2018 studying abroad in Italy at Florence University of the Arts. This opportunity opened my eyes to a new culture and helped me grow both personally and professionally. Following an interview, I was selected to take on a Special Project: Experiential Learning in Visual Communication with a focus in Graphic Design.

Over the course of the semester, we worked on two different projects for the University, our first was to create graphics and materials for the FUA 2018 Apicius Conference which addressed Health, Wellness, and Non-Hotel Lodging Trends in the Hospitality Industry.

When designing the graphics, I placed a focus on Health + Wellness, designing vector art that would be used across all of the materials. I designed the conference program, postcard, conference map, room signs, sign-in sheet, menu cards, screen saver, and press release.

Health, Wellness, and Non-Hotel Lodging Trends in the Hospitality Industry was also the theme for the University’s biannual Blending Magazine. Dividing the work between myself and a partner, we created a full 60 page magazine that was printed and distributed throughout the school and community.

You can find the full magazine below!
